Thank you to Aylesbury for inviting me to join their team for the Guild 6 bell competition.
As you know we didn’t have our usual Branch striking competition this year to decide the team to enter the Guild competition. As a result it fell upon myself as ringing master to find a team to represent you all. After some time of thinking and visiting most towers in the Branch I chose Aylesbury.
As you can see from the results below we didn’t do overly well but we did give it our best. The bells at Chalfont St Peter are easy to handle but the odd struckness of 4,5 6 did make ringing a challenge. Rightly or wrongly we broke the Grandsire tradition and rang a touch of 240 Plain Bob.
Looking forward to seeing and hearing you all next weekend for the Orchard cup/CBB competition.
