On Saturday ringers and supporters from across the branch converged on the City of London. We met at the first tower to find that the expected 25-30 people had grown to nearer 50, so there was quite a lot of organisation to make sure that everyone had a good chance to ring at each of the 5 towers during the day. This group photo, inevitably missing one or two, was taken outside St Michael’s, Cornhill, our first tower after lunch.
Many thanks to Ryan, our home grown Londoner, for making all the arrangements on the ground for us and for hurrying from tower to tower retrieving keys to let us in. We all had a lovely day – interesting towers with many ringing for the first time on 10 or 12, some of the sights of London, good company and all of it blessed with fine weather.
Here’s to the next one!
