On Saturday 14th September we shall be heading to London for another ringing outing. As in previous years we shall travel by train and then use public transport or walk between towers. Once again we suggest getting into groups to travel so that you can purchase group tickets at a reduced rate.
In order to join the outing for the first tower you will need to catch one of the following trains:
08.33 Leighton Buzzard to Euston
08.33 Aylesbury Vale Parkway to Marylebone
08.37 Aylesbury to Marylebone (same train as above)
NB There are no trains from Haddenham and Thame Parkway to Marylebone that day.
We are planning to travel and ring “The Boat Race” heading west along the Thames.
There will be a suggested lunch pub together with suitable locations for picnics or non-pub food sources.
Please let Anne Pratt – firstname.lastname@example.org – know approximately how many ringers will be attending, as this helps with organising the ringing. NB Ringing is open to all ringers in the branch who are competent independent rounds ringers. This is important as we cannot support those learning to handle on an outing.
Full details of towers will be circulated to you by email next month and will not be published elsewhere.
