Branch Striking Competition – Saturday 14th May

Following the success of the branch outing last Saturday, when so many people had a chance to ring away from home, it is now time to take up the challenge to ring at our newest 6, Chearsley, for the branch striking competition.  This is an easy ring of bells, a bit over 9 cwt, but nothing flighty and quite easy to strike.  The church is at the edge of the village with lovely walking and the river Thame close by.    Book the date now – Saturday 14th May in the afternoon.

Chearsley

You have 2 months to practice, so work out who could ring in your band and have a go!  There is no need to ring anything more than call changes – that is what the home team will be doing.  They, after all, have only had a ring of 6 for just over a year! You can also ask for help from one person outside your tower band if that will make the difference for you.  If you would like help or advice contact Anne, branch training officer, or one of the other committee members.  This is a lovely afternoon out, with tea of course, and a really good chance to meet up again with people from other towers.  You do not have to be in a band if you prefer just to come along and listen.

Full details will be circulated to towers soon, so watch out for the notice and get ready!
